Quality Golden Retrievers
At McKinney Golden Retrievers, we are dedicated to providing high quality Golden Retriever puppies for families at an affordable price. Our passion for these wonderful dogs drives us to ensure that every puppy is raised in a loving environment, receiving the best care and socialization.
We started our breeding program in 2019 with Snickers, our red American Golden Retriever girl. We mated her to Cooper, a show Golden Retriever from Fort Worth Goldens that was locally famous in commercials and billboards.
Below is the story of that first litter with Snickers sired by Cooper.
Out of the 2019 litter from Snickers and Cooper, we kept Pinkie Pie, the girl in the middle of the front loader picture. And then we added Bailey, the daughter of Melonie and Cooper, the half sister of Pinkie Pie. Then we kept Penny, our favorite daughter of Bailey, who is one of the puppies of this YouTube video about 19 puppies.
After leaving Mckinney in 2023 for a sailing adventure in Florida and the Caribbean, we returned to McKinney in 2024 to continue breeding Golden Retrievers. In 2024 we bred Pinkie Pie to a Penny’s father Dallas to produce a litter of four puppies. We bred Penny to an English Cream to produce a litter of one puppy, Tiffany, whom we kept for our next breeding female. We bred Penny again in 2025 to an American-English stud named Bomber, whom we offer for stud service. They produced four puppies, the last litter adopted in 2025.
Today we have Snickers, retired, Pinkie Pie, Penny, and Tiffany living with us. Bailey was adopted by the owners of the Cocktail Creamery in Mckinney. Bomber is owned by a different family.
To date we’ve adopted out over 60 puppies to nearly as many families across Texas and the USA. Our philosophy is quality over quantity. We breed Golden Retrievers only for the love of the breed and for the enjoyment of seeing a puppy and a family choose each other.
We take tremendous care to ensure that the puppies are genetically perfect, have stunningly sculpted heads and bodies, with the happy, intelligent and gentle disposition everyone expects from the breed. And in contrast to their sweet nature with family and friends, they are also fierce protectors of those they love against threats.
We are Evan and Amy Miller. We live in New Hope Texas on the border of Mckinney, Texas. Evan is CEO of a small software company. Amy manages the dog business and refinishes furniture. And together they lead the Anchor Church Romance and Marriage ministry.
